The petitioner has filed the present application for a direction to the respondent to appoint the petitioner on compassionate ground.

The husband of the petitioner died in harness on 28.7.2015. Thereafter, the petitioner approached the respondents for compassionate appointment. The District Programme Officer (Establishment), Gaya forwarded all the relevant

Patna High Court CWJC No.18869 of 2019(2) dt.13-09-2019 2/2 documents of the petitioner for appropriate decision but till date no decision one way or the other has been taken by the respondents.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that others were favoured with the appointment but the petitioner has been discriminated.

Considering the object behind the compassionate appointment, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to take appropriate decision with regard to claim of the petitioner for compassionate appointment at the earliest, preferably within a period of sixty days from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

While taking decision, the respondents are required to consider the case of the petitioner in the light of similarly circumstanced others who have been favoured with the compassionate appointment.

With the aforesaid, the writ application stands disposed of.
