2. The petitioner is a retired employee, aged about 81 years has prayed for 20% enhanced pension. He is also worried about his wife, who is an old lady and in case of his death, his wife shall be entitled for family pension.

In view of communications made by the Accountant General, Bihar informing the Bank that the petitioner is entitled for 20% enhanced pension, in accordance with the government circular as contained in Memo No.755 dated 20.10.2017 (Annexure-1), the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the UCO Bank, Chief Branch, Banka to get all the formalities done forthwith with respect to revision of the pension of the petitioner, who has attained the age of 81 years. In case, the Branch Manager finds it proper, he must consult with the Treasury Officer or any other competent authority.

4. In case any formality is required, the Branch Manager of the Bank must authorize a competent officer to get the requisite paraphernalia done without hindrance.

5. The above exercise is directed to be carried out within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order.

6. With the above observation/direction, the present writ petition is disposed of.
