JUSTICE PURNENDU SINGH ORAL JUDGMENT Date : 04-10-2023 Heard Mr. Hemant Kumar Jha, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner; Mr. Kameshwar Kumar, learned GP-17 along with Mr. Amit Bhushan, learned AC to GP17 for the State and Mr. Apurva Kumar, learned counsel for the Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga.

2. Petitioner has filed the writ petition for the following reliefs:

(i) Gratuity amounting to Rs. 10 Lacs with interest. (ii) Unutilized Earned Leave Encashment as per 7th Pay Revision w.e.f. 01.04.2017 with interest. (iii) Group Insurance.

3. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner who had retired from the

Patna High Court CWJC No.14054 of 2023 dt.04-10-2023 2/2 post of Assistant Professor on 20.06.2019 seeks to file a detailed representation for redressal of his grievance as prayed for in the present writ petition before the Registrar of the University.

4. Considering the submission made on behalf of the petitioner, the petitioner, if so advised, may file a detailed representation before the Registrar of the University. The Registrar, Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga is directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner by making payment of the retiral benefits under different heads in accordance with law within a period of six weeks.

5. In case the petitioner feels aggrieved for nonpayment of admitted retiral benefits under any head, he is at liberty to take appropriate legal action against the concerned respondent.

6. The writ petition, accordingly, stands disposed of.
