2. The petitioners had moved the Court for the following reliefs:
"a) For issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, for commanding the respondents to pay the post retiral benefit to the petitioners to make payment the entire dues amount at the prescribed rate of interest of difference from 01.01.1971 to 31.03.1973.
b) For issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, for commanding the respondents Authority to produced letter no. 1446 dated 27.07.2007 and letter no. 3661 dated 22.10.2007 issued by
9/10 Special Secretary-cum-Director (primary education), Human Recourses Development Department, Patna by which the Special Secretary approved for making payment at the prescribed rate of interest for the year 01.01.1997 to 31.03.1973.
b) For issuance of any other writ/writs/ direction/ direction or order/ orders in respect of any other relief to which the petitioners may be deemed entitled may also be issued."

Counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of the State (respondent no. 5) bringing on record the decision of the State Government to pay 6% interest for the period in question in terms of the order dated 07.02.2003 passed in L.P.A. No. 794 of 2002. It has further been stated in the counter affidavit that in terms thereof, petitioners have been paid.
4. Copy of the counter affidavit was served on learned counsel for the petitioners on 01.03.2017 but no rejoinder to the same has been filed.

Having considered the matter, the Court does not find that there is any justification in awarding interest over 6% which has already been granted by the State and that too pursuant to the order of a Division Bench. Once 6% interest has been paid pursuant to the order of a Division Bench, this Court does not feel the necessity to
10/10 again consider the matter and pass any other order. Moreover, as per the State's decision, payments having already been made, no further order is required to be passed and accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed off.
