1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the Union of India.

2. The petitioner has filed the instant application for a direction to the respondents to appoint him on compassionate ground on account of the death of his father on 20.12.2019 while working as a Constable in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).

3. The relevant facts in brief are that the application

Patna High Court CWJC No.15303 of 2025(2) dt.04-11-2025 2/3 for appointment on compassionate ground filed by the petitioner was rejected by the respondent-CISF. On perusal of one of the communications dated 2.12.2022 (Annexure-P/2) it transpires that the same was rejected on three occasions for different reasons as mentioned therein. From the contents of the said letter it further transpires that liberty was given to the petitioner that if he wanted to file a further appeal, he could file the same before the Director General of CISF.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties, it appears to the Court that the reason for the petitioner having filed the instant application is that considerable time has passed and the petitioner has not moved before for the Director General, CISF as per the observation given in letter dated 2.12.2022.

In view of the facts and circumstances of the case and especially the matter being one of compassionate appointment on account of death of the father of the petitioner while working as a constable in CISF, without going into the merits of the case of the petitioner, the instant application is disposed of with a liberty to the petitioner to file a representation before the Director General, Central Industrial Security Force (Ministry of Home Affairs), New Delhi

6. In case such a representation is filed within a period of four weeks from today, the same shall be disposed of expeditiously preferably within a period of three months from the date of its filing.

7. The writ application stands disposed of with the above observations and directions.
