2. Petitioner apprehends arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471, 414, 120(B) of the Indian Penal Code.

3. According to F.I.R., one Manilal Kumar purchased Scorpio vehicle from co-accused Chandrika Yadav and when he went to apply for vehicle and insurance certificate, he came to know that the vehicle was already insured in the name of one Santosh Kumar.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner in innocent and has falsely been implicated in this case. Vehicle in question was registered on 01.12.2021 in the office of District Transport Office, Rohtas at Sasaram and at the relevant point of time, petitioner was not posted as a DTO in Sasaram and transferred to Rohtas vide order dated 29.06.2022 and he took charge on 12.07.2022. petitioner has falsely been

It is further submitted that as soon as petitioner came to know about the incident, the transfer of ownership was cancelled by him and communicated to the Commissioner with recommendation to initiate departmental proceeding against the programmer vide letter No. 1178 and letter No. 1179 both dated 11.05.2024 and letter No. 1986 dated 20.07.2024 (Annexure-3). Petitioner claims clean antecedent.

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State vehemently opposed the bail application.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this anticipatory bail is allowed and it is ordered that let the above named petitioner in the event of his arrest/surrender before the court below within a period of eight weeks from today, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail-bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Chief Judicial Magistrate, West Champaran, Bettiah in connection with Kumarbag P. S. Case No. 29 of 2024, subject to condition as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure. (Prabhat Kumar Singh, J) Navya/- U T
