2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in a case registered for the offence under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code.

3. As per the prosecution case, mentally challenged wife of the informant was raped by the petitioner.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since 02.01.2023, he is quite innocent and has not committed any offence.

5. Learned A.P.P. has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail and has submitted that the allegations has been supported by the victim in the statement made under Section 164 of the Cr.P.C.

6. Considering the allegations levelled against the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. This application is dismissed.

7. The Court below is directed to expedite the trial of the petitioner/s.

8. Petitioner may renew his prayer for bail after examination of the victim in trial.
