The present writ petition has been preferred under Article 226 of the Constitution of Indian seeking the following relief/s:- " (i) For issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the Respondent authorities to mutate the land in question in the name of the petitioner by creating new Jamabandi and grant receipt.

(ii) For further direction to the Respondent authorities to dispose of the representation of the petitioner by reasoned and speaking order within time framed.

Patna High Court CWJC No.15727 of 2025(2) dt.01-11-2025 2/2 (iii) And for any other relief/reliefs for which the petitioner is found to be entitled in the eye of law."

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petition before the Respondent No. 5, the Circle Officer, Koilwar, is pending since 18.10.2024.

4. Learned State counsel submits that it shall be taken to its logical conclusion, if not concluded.

5. It is unfortunate that the petition preferred on 18.10.2024 has not been disposed of even after lapse of more than one year, if the contention of the petitioner is accepted.

6. In that background, the writ petition is disposed of directing the Respondent No.5, the Circle Officer, Koilwar to dispose of the petition (Annexure-7) if still not disposed of by 31.12.2025 failing which, the petitioner shall be free to file contempt case against him/her.

7. The writ petition is disposed of with the aforesaid observation.
