The petitioner has renewed his prayer for grant of bail in a case registered under section 392 of the Indian Penal Code and sections 25(1-B)(a) and 26 of the Arms Act. The earlier application for bail of the petitioner was rejected vide order dated 7.4.2022 passed in Cr. Misc. no.58479 of 2021.

As per the prosecution case, four accused persons on the point of pistol are said to have snatched Rs.600/ from the possession of the informant. The petitioner and one another were caught at the place of occurrence.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that in the earlier order of rejection dated 7.4.2022, liberty was

The petitioner is in custody since 18.5.2021 and it has been more than six months since the said order of rejection. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the nature of allegation, the liberty granted in the earlier order of rejection dated 7.4.2022 and the petitioner having remained in custody since 18.5.2021 ie for 1 year 6 months, the Court directs the petitioner to be enlarged on bail in connection with Jakkanpur P.S. Case no.232 of 2021 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/ (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate I, Patna.
