JUSTICE RAVI RANJAN ORAL ORDER 12-10-2015 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the State. It is contended on behalf of the petitioner that the application for grant of licence for rifle was filed on 10.12.2013 but no final decision has been taken as yet by the licensing authority whereas the Officer-in-charge of the concerned Police Station has reported that the petitioner requires the firearms as he is actively supporting the administration against the anti-social elements of the locality. It is further contended that there were to incidents of firing upon the petitioner for which F.I.Rs. have been lodged.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances, this writ application is being disposed of with a direction to the District

Patna High Court CWJC No.14649 of 2015 (2) dt.12-10-2015 Magistrate-cum-Licensing Authority, Jehanabad to take a final decision in the matter on its own merit and in accordance with law within a period of four months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
