The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Bihar P.S. Case No. 618 of 2021 registered for the offence under Sections 386 and 387 of the Indian Penal Code. As per the prosecution case, the criminals demanded Rs. 50 lakhs as extortion money from a person and got transferred Rs. 10,000/- in a account. Subsequently, the petitioner has been suspected in the case but he has not been named as one of the four accused who had demanded extortion money or as the person in whose account the amount of Rs. 10,000/- was transferred. Rs. 11,000/- has been transferred from the account of a person who is actively involved in the crime. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the

One of the co-accused Sonu Yadav out of the four criminals who had demanded extortion directly has been granted bail by a coordinate bench of this Court vide order dated 17.07.2023 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 20689 of 2023. Considering the aforesaid facts, this application for regular bail is allowed.

Let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned C.J.M., Biharsharif in connection with Bihar P.S. Case No. 618 of 2021.

The petitioner will visit Silaw Police Station on the first Sunday of each month. Any default in appearance at the Police Station would result in cancellation of bail bond of the petitioner.
