1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1(i) For issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus оr any other appropriate writ directing the respondents to issue arms license to the petitioner by disposing his application which was applied in the year 2016 a long years back and still pending due to non-prudent behaviour of the respondents.

(ii) For issuance of any appropriate writ directing the respondents not to harass and humiliate the petitioner in the matter of grant of

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks a direction upon the District Magistrate, Siwan, Bihar for expeditious disposal of the application, filed by the petitioner for grant of arms license, way back in the year 2016.

3. The learned counsel for the respondent-State submits that the aforesaid application, filed by the petitioner for grant of arms license shall be considered in accordance with law and disposed off within a stipulated time frame, as is fixed by this Court.

4. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Siwan, Bihar to dispose off the aforesaid application filed by the petitioner for grant of arms license, in case the same is still pending, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

5. The present writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
