This application, for grant of anticipatory bail, arises out of Barachatti P.S. Case No. 110 of 2016, disclosing offences under Sections 15/18 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.

Considering the seriousness of the offence, I am not inclined to consider this application for grant of anticipatory bail.

This application is, accordingly, rejected.

The petitioner is directed to surrender before the learned court below within a period of four weeks from today and seek regular bail, if so advised. If he does so, his application for regular bail shall be considered by the learned court below on its own merit, without being
