The petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under Sections 120B, 409, 420, 467, 468, 471 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 13 (2) r/w 13 (1) (c) and (d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. In pursuance to the order dated 25.01.2023, status report of trial in connection with C.B.I. R.C. P.S. Case No. 16A of 2012 has been received and kept at Flag-A, in which it is reported that this case is going on prosecution evidence and it is likely to be disposed of within three months. Considering the present stage of the trial, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, his payer for bail is rejected in connection with C.B.I. R.C. P.S. Case No. 16A of 2012 (RC0232012A0016) giving rise to Special Case

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.74317 of 2022(4) dt.22-02-2023 2/2 No. 09 of 2012 pending before the court of the learned Special Judge C.B.I.-1st, Patna.

Accordingly, the application is dismissed. However, Trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible within a period of three months. If the trial is not concluded within the stipulated period, the petitioner may renew his prayer for bail.
