2. The writ petition has been filed for the following reliefs:-

Patna High Court CWJC No.2071 of 2018(20) dt.07-07-2026 2/3 (i) To issue a writ in the nature of mandamus commanding the Respondents No. 2 & 3 to appoint the petitioner as, in contemplation to the Advertisement (Annexure- P/1) made by the Respondent No. 6, the petitioner applied for the post of Assistant Professor and the Respondent No. 6 issued the result of provisionally eligible candidates of Assistant Professor, no appointment letter has been issued to the petitioner though the persons similar to the petitioner namely (1) Ashwani Kumar Jha, (2) Ashish Kumar - II & (3) Kiran Bala were appointed in Magadh University, Gaya and (4) Yasmin Kausar, (5) Vijayshri, (6) Ranjeet Kumar Pandey & (7) Shashikala Kumari were appointed in Veer Kunwar Singh University, Ara, but the petitioner has been subjected to hostile discrimination.

(ii) To issue a writ in the nature of mandamus commanding the Respondents No. 2 & 3 to issue letter of appointment to the petitioner for the post of Assistant Professor in the subject of Psychology, because despite of fulfilling the eligibility criteria, no action is being taken by and at the hand of the Respondents No. 2 & 3 towards issuing letter of appointment to the petitioner.

(iii) Any other relief or reliefs.

3. In view of order issued by the registrar as contained

Patna High Court CWJC No.2071 of 2018(20) dt.07-07-2026 3/3 in Memo No.700/2023 dated 18.06.2026 whereby the appointment on the post of Assistant Professor in subject of Psychology has already been issued and petitioner is said to have joined the said post, nothing survives in view of the nature of reliefs sought for adjudication in the instant writ petition.

It is expected that appropriate steps shall be taken by the concerned authorities of the University, by placing the case of the petitioner before the Syndicate in the forthcoming meeting, as stipulated in the appointment letter, for approval and the consequential benefits. The decision so taken shall be communicated to the petitioner, along with all consequential benefits, to which the petitioner is entitled. The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible, preferably within three months from the date of representation.

5. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with liberty aforesaid.
