JUSTICE HEMANT KUMAR SRIVASTAVA ORAL ORDER 13-09-2017 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned counsel appearing for the Economic Offences Unit as well as learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State. Petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 80, 20(B) (iii), 29 of N.D.P.S. Act.
Earlier the prayer for bail of the petitioner was rejected by this court and no doubt, petitioner is in jail custody since long but taking into consideration the quantity of recovered Ganja, again, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. Hence, his prayer for bail in connection with Special Case No. 38
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.44549 of 2017 (2) dt.13-09-2017 2/2 of 2014 arising out of Economic Offence P.S. Case No. 24 of 2014 pending in the court of Additional Sessions Judge-VI, Patna (Special Judge, N.D.P.S. cum Economic Offences) stands rejected. However, learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial of the petitioner and try to conclude the same as early as possible.
