Pursuant to the directions, dated 11.04.2016, in complaint Case No.1087 of 2015, Aurangabad Town P.S. Case No.210 of 2016 has been registered, under Section-364 of the Indian Penal Code.
The abducted person, who is the father of the petitioner, has not yet been recovered.
In the light of the counter affidavit, which has been filed by the respondents, it transpires that the investigation is in
Patna High Court Cr. WJC No.707 of 2016 (3) dt.30-08-2016 2/2 progress.
It is, however, apparent that the registration of the case by the police has been delayed and, therefore, effective and prompt investigation is absolutely necessary in the present case. In view of the above and in the interest of justice, it is hereby directed that respondent No.3, namely, Superintendent of Police, Aurangabad, shall enquire into the grievances raised in the writ petition and do the needful in accordance with law expeditiously, preferably within a period of six months, ensure proper, fair and effective investigation in such a way that no innocent person is harassed.
With the aforesaid observations and directions, this writ petition stands disposed of.
