JUSTICE AJAY KUMAR TRIPATHI ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 19-12-2016 Writ was filed by a Chartered Accountants Firm seeking a direction upon the L.N. Mithila University that their remuneration for the audit work and maintenance of book of accounts etc. of the University must be paid.
2. The stand of the University now, in the counter affidavit, is that out of the claim of Rs.15,20,341/-, the University has already authorized payment of Rs.12,77,000/- odd for which the University is willing to issue the cheques within two weeks. There is no clear stand in the counter affidavit about the discrepancy between the amounts sanctioned and the amount claimed.
3. The writ application is disposed of with a direction upon the Registrar of the University that the cheque of the amount
Patna High Court CWJC No.13178 of 2016 dt.19-12-2016 2 / 2 already sanctioned will be made over to the petitioner within a week, if not already done.
4. For left over payments or claims of the petitioner, whatever discrepancy the University has found will be explained to the petitioner and the petitioner may answer suitably so that the left over payments can also be settled, if there is no serious dispute with regard to the said sum.
