This application is for grant of regular bail in connection with Semara (Chiutaha) P.S.Case No.30 of 2017, for the offences under Sections 304(B)/34 of the Indian Penal Code. Allegation against the petitioner is of dowry death, who happens to be husband.

Submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that there is general and omnibus allegation against the petitioner and nothing specific has been attributed against the petitioner and she has committed suicide by setting her on fire. Further submission is that the petitioner is in custody since 15.3.2017.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.46580 of 2017 (2) dt.21-09-2017 Heard learned A.P.P. also, who has opposed the prayer for bail.

Having heard both sides and in view of allegation of demand of dowry as well as cruelty to the deceased prior to her death by the petitioner and the deceased died due to burn injury, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner, however, the petitioner is in custody, the learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial of the petitioner.

With the aforesaid observation, this application is dismissed.
