The learned counsel for the respondentState has produced a cheque for a sum of Rs. 5,65,739/-, in lieu of the rent accrued and outstanding for payment to the petitioner, for the period August, 2008 to December, 2018, the date on which the premises in question is stated to have been vacated by the respondents, however, it is
Patna High Court CWJC No.18249 of 2016(3) dt.30-10-2023 2/2 submitted that the balance amount of rent due for the period April, 2006 to July, 2008, which still remains to be paid, shall be paid on or before 10.11.2023.

It is directed accordingly.

The learned counsel for the respondentState has handed over the cheque for the aforesaid amount to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.

It is needless to state that in case the balance amount of rent is not paid on or before 10.11.2023, the District Education Officer, Sitamarhi and the District Programme Officer, Sitamarhi shall not draw their salary.

The writ petition stands disposed off.
