The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Hilsa P.S.Case No.368 of2017 registered for offences punishable under Sections 30(a) and 47 of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.
Allegation against the petitioner is about recovery of 37 ltrs. of liquor and the petitioner was arrested at the spot. Submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case and nothing has been recovered from his possession rather recovery is from the possession of other accused persons. So far criminal antecedent is concerned, it is submitted that he is made accused in two other cases also within a period of two days of the present case. The petitioner is in custody for about 1 1⁄2 months.

Having heard both sides and in view of recovery as well criminal antecedent of the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage, however the learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial and try to conclude it within a period of four months and if not concluded, he shall release the petitioner to his own satisfaction.
With the aforesaid observation, this application is disposed of.
