Petitioner apprehends arrest in connection with Mahila P.S. Case No. 20 of 2016 registered under Sections498A/34 of the Indian Penal Code and sections 3⁄4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.
The allegation against the petitioner, who is husband of the informant, is of torture and ousting the informant from her matrimonial home due to non-fulfillment of demand of dowry.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there is nothing specific against this petitioner. Petitioner had filed a written report regarding missing of informant from his
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.50134 of 2016 (3) dt.20-01-2017 2/2 house.
Considering the allegations levelled against the petitioner in the first information report as also the supervision note wherein the case has been found to be true under section 498A/34, I am not inclined to grant the privilege of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. His prayer for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected.
