Patna High Court CWJC No.1701 of 2016 dt.16-08-2017 2/2 to grant recognition to their qualification i.e Diploma in Accountancy for Panchayati Raj Institution as a valid qualification for appointment against the post of Accountant as advertised by the Rural Development Department vide Annexure-5. A plain reading of the advertisement present at Annexure-5 in so far as the post of Accountant is concerned, leaves no room for confusion that the minimum eligibility qualification prescribed is a Graduate degree in Accounts from a recognized University/Institution, while these petitioners are Diploma Holders in Accountancy which is certainly not in tune with the prescribed requirements as found in the advertisement.
The prayer is misconceived and the writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
