This is a petition for grant of anticipatory bail for offence under Sections 273 of the Indian Penal Code and 47(A)(f) and 50 of the Bihar Excise Act.

Huge amount of liquor was recovered from the vehicle.

Submission of the petitioner is that the petitioner is owner of the car from which foreign liquor was recovered. The driver is already in custody and the driver has stated that coaccused, Manjesh Kumar, had hired the car for his purpose and recovered liquor is of Manjesh Kumar.

The petitioner has got no criminal antecedent. Considering the aforesaid fact, the petitioner, above named, in the event of his arrest or surrender, within four weeks from the date of receipt of this order, be released on anticipatory bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each in connection with Sono P.S. Case No. 131 of 2016 to the satisfaction of the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jamui, or successor Court, subject to the condition laid down under Section 438(2) of the Criminal Procedure Code.
