The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Dalsinghsarai P.S. Case No.168 of 2016 registered under Sections 342, 324, 307 and 376 of the Indian Penal Code besides Section 4 of the POSCO Act, pending in the court of the Additional Sessions Judge-I, Samastipur.

The accusation is of committing rape on the minor daughter, aged about 10 years, of the informant, by this petitioner by taking her away in a maize field Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner having no criminal antecedent is in custody since 08.05.2016.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.1627 of 2017 (2) dt.18-01-2017 2/2 Having regard to the facts and the circumstances of the case and the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer of the petitioner for grant of bail stands rejected.
