2. Let the defect(s), if any, be removed within a period of four weeks from today.

3. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Chakia P.S. Case No. 376 of 2020 registered for the offence under Sections 341, 384, 386, 504, 506/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

4. As per the prosecution case, the petitioner and others demanded extortion of Rs. 50,000/- from the informant.

5. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and he is in custody since 24.07.2023.

6. Learned A.P.P. has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail.

7. Considering the aforesaid facts and the period of custody, this application for regular bail is allowed.

8. Let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail after framing of charge on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned CJM, East Champaran at Motihari in connection with Chakia P.S. Case No. 376 of 2020.

9. The petitioner will mark his attendance at Chakia Police Station on the first and third Sunday of each month. Any default in appearance at the Police Station would result in cancellation of bail bond of the petitioner.
