That the present writ application is being filed for issuance of writ/writs in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant Assured Carrier Progression (ACP) Scheme and Modified Assured Career Progression Scheme (MACP) and pay the consequential monetary benefits arising out from this to the petitioner with interest for which petitioner is legally entitled for any other relief/reliefs be granted to the petitioner for which he is entitled."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to avail such other alternative remedies as are otherwise available under the law, for redressal of the aforesaid grievances. Liberty, so sought, is granted.
