This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of mandamus or any other writ or writs, direction or direction, commanding upon the respondents to issue a copy of DNA report regarding Bambam Mahto, the Son of the petitioner who was killed by the accused persons regarding which Kishanpur P.S Case No. 317/20 dated 31.12.20 was registered by Officer-in-charge, Kishanpur P.S, District-Supaul as the said report is required to be filed in LIC Branch Office, Imphal, Manipur for getting claim Insurance Amount.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in the insurance claim, the copy of the DNA report is being required by the Insurance Company, therefore, he may be supplied the copy of the DNA report.

4. The learned counsel for the State has brought on record the DNA report which is annexed as Annexure-A to the counter affidavit.

5. In these circumstances, this application has become infructuous and stands disposed of as the copy of the DNA report has already been supplied to the learned counsel for the petitioner in Court as an Annexure-A to the counter affidavit.

6. If the petitioner files a copy of the DNA report supplied to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the LIC will settle the insurance claim of the petitioner in accordance with law within one month of its submission.
