2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Govindganj P.S. Case No. 294 of 2018 registered for the offence under Sections 387 of the Indian Penal Code,1986.

3. As per the prosecution case, the allegation against the petitioner of demand of ransom.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since 28.07.2023 and has seven criminal antecedents in similar nature.

5. Learned A.P.P. has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail.

6. Considering the criminal antecedents of the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.67119 of 2023(2) dt.17-10-2023 2/2 petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

7. Accordingly, the prayer of bail of the petitioner is rejected herewith.

8. The District Judge, East Champaran, Motihari is directed to expedite the trial of all the cases in one court pending against the petitioner.

9. Let a copy of this order be communicated to District Judge, East Champaran, Motihari through FAX or e-mail, for its forthwith compliance.
