2. The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with East Champaran Complaint P.S. Case No. 340 of 2024 instituted for the offences under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code.

3. As per prosecution case, the complainant was married to the co-accused Sumit Kumar and she made allegation against the petitioner along with other co-accused persons is that they started demanding Rs. One lakh from her. She further

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.69145 of 2024(2) dt.23-10-2024 2/3 alleged that all the accused persons including the petitioner abused her and started torturing and beating her, thereafter, they ousted her from their house.

4. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that petitioner is innocent and has committed no offence. There is general and omnibus allegation against the petitioner. He submitted that the petitioner is the father-in-law of the complainant and he has no concern with the day to day affairs of the complainant and her husband. Being the father-in-law of the complainant, he has been falsely implicated in this case. It is next submitted that the petitioner is a person of clean antecedent.

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for grant of bail to the petitioner.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances, let the petitioner, above named, in the event of arrest/surrender before the learned Court below within a period of four weeks from today, be released on anticipatory bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned J.M.F.C., East Champaran, Motihari in connection with East Champaran Complaint P.S. Case No. 340 of 2024, subject to the conditions
