JUSTICE SANJAY PRIYA ORAL ORDER 19-04-2018 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the State. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in C.R. No. 206 of 2016 corresponding to T.R. No. 1797 of 2017 instituted for the offence under Sections 420, 323, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code.
It is alleged that petitioner took an amount of Rs.3,00,000/- from the complainant on the assurance of getting him job in Railway but neither the complainant got job nor petitioner has returned money. It is further alleged that petitioner, on demand, issued a Cheque of Rs.3,00,000/- but mentioned the amount in words in column of figures and when cheque was
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.62770 of 2017 (4) dt.19-04-2018 2/2 presented in bank, the same was not accepted. The informant made request to issue fresh cheque or return his money, but the petitioner refused to do so.
Therefore, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
Prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner stands rejected.
Petitioner may surrender before the court below and make prayer for regular bail.
