The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Govindganj (Areraj) P.S. Case no. 229 of 2017 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 384, 420, 467, 468 and 471 of the Indian Penal Code.
The petitioner who happens to be advocate of the Patna High Court is said to have demanded Rs. 500/- per head from 22 named informant who happen to be Aasha Worker (on contract) in health department to get them regularized by filing the case in the Patna High Court and also demanded xerox copy of the bank account, Aadhar card and obtained their signature on the plain paper.

The petitioner has not taken any money from the informant. He has been falsely implicated in the case due to professional rivalry. The petitioner has been languishing in custody since 08.09.2017. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the above named petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional Chief Judicial, Magistrate-I, East Champaran, Motihari in connection with Govindganj (Areraj) P.S.
