The petitioner is in custody in connection with R.C. Case No. 20A of 2016, a case under Section 120B of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 7/13(2) read with Section 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
Petitioner is in custody since 16.11.2016.
Allegation is that the petitioner demanded bribe of Rs.75,000/- from co-worker to relieve him to join on the promotional post. On trap, Rs.20,000/- was recovered from the Almirah inside in the office of the petitioner.
Earlier this Court has refused the prayer for bail on
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.55156 of 2017 (6) dt.10-01-2018 P2/ 25.04.2017 in Cr. Misc. No.10931 of 2017 with direction to the learned trial Judge to expedite the trial.
This Court has been informed by the parties that only police papers have been supplied to the accused and no other progress in the trial.
Considering the period undergone, let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Court-below where the case is pending in connection with the aforesaid case, with condition that the petitioner shall fully cooperate with the investigation/trial of the case, failing which the court below shall be at liberty to cancel the bail bond of the petitioner.
