2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Sessions Trial No. 20 of 2024 arising out of Khaira P.S. Case No. 467 of 2020, lodged on 02.11.2020, under Sections 147, 148, 149, 323, 376, 511, 379, 302 & 120B of the Indian Penal Code, along with Section 27 of the Arms Act.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's bail application was earlier rejected twice, vide order dated 22.02.2024 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 11094 of 2024 and vide order dated 05.02.2025 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 76621 of 2024. He further submits that the petitioner does not have a clean criminal antecedent, as 11 criminal cases are pending against him.

He further submits that vide order dated 12.09.2025, this Court was pleased to call for a report with regard to the present stage of the trial and also directed the petitioner to file a supplementary affidavit bringing on record substantial proof to show that he is not absconding in any of the pending cases against him. He submits that the supplementary affidavit has been filed, however, the Court was not satisfied and, vide order dated 16.01.2026, directed the petitioner to satisfy this Court that he is not absconding in any case pending against him. However, the said report has not been filed. As such, he submits that the matter may be adjourned to enable the petitioner to satisfy this Court that he is not absconding in any of the pending cases against him.

5. Learned APP for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that this case has been pending for a long time, and on several occasions, opportunities have been granted to the petitioner. He further submits that a report regarding the present stage of the trial was called for, and from the report, it transpires that three prosecution witnesses have already been examined, while the remaining witnesses are in the process of being examined.

6. In the present facts and circumstances of this case and the submissions made above, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. Accordingly, the bail application of the petitioner is hereby rejected. (Dr. Anshuman, J.) Aman Kumar/- U T
