JUSTICE VINOD KUMAR SINHA ORAL ORDER 17-01-2018 Earlier prayer for bail of the petitioner was rejected vide order dated 20.3.2017 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 7163 of 2017 with direction to trial court to expedite the trial. Submission of learned counsel for the petitioner is that petitioner is in custody for one and a half years and till date there is no substantial progress in trial.

A report was called for the trial court, from which it appears that only one witness has been examined in this case till date.

However, as the petitioner is in custody for last one and a half years, learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial and try to conclude it within a period of eight months.
