1. Heard learned Counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State.

2. This application, for grant of anticipatory bail, arises out of Patna City Complaint Case No. 160 of 2023, dated 08.02.2023, disclosing offences under Sections 323/341/498(A) of the Indian Penal Code.

The prosecution case, as per the First Information Report, is that the opposite party no. 2-complainant was married to the co-accused Birendra Kumar Shivam on 10.02.2022 and it has further been stated that after some time the coaccused persons, including the petitioner, demanded a sum of Rs. 10 Lakhs from the complainant and due to

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the father-in-law of the complainant and all the family members of the petitioner has been involved in the present case, including the husband of the complainant. He next submits that the allegation against the petitioner is general and omnibus in nature and the petitioner is about 75 years of age.

Regards being had to the submissions made on behalf of the parties and taking into consideration the fact that the allegation against the petitioner is general and omnibus in nature and the petitioner is about 75 years of age, I am inclined to grant the petitioner privilege of anticipatory bail.

6. This application is, accordingly, allowed.

7. Let the petitioner, above named, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the Court below within four weeks, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Patna City, in connection with Patna City Complaint Case
