The grievance raised by the petitioner as regarding absence of any stipulation in the advertisement published by the respondents for appointment to the post of Sub Inspector of Police bearing No. 1/2017 does not contain any relaxation for Ex-service man, stands noted in the order of this Court recorded on 27.11.2017. On request made by Mr. Manish Kumar, GP-4, matter was adjourned for today and when a quick response has been received from the respondents through a counter affidavit enclosing a direction issued by the Additional Secretary, Home (Police) Department contained in letter dated 28.11.2017 directing the Bihar Police Subordinate Service Commission to appropriately modify the

Patna High Court CWJC No.17161 of 2017 dt.29-11-2017 advertisement to include the age relaxation for Ex-service man in tune with General Administration Department Circular No. 5374 dated 2.4.2013 issued in modification of Circular No. 912 dated 20.1.1969 on the issue.

In view of the directions so issued by the Home (Police) Department, let follow-up steps be taken by the Bihar Police Subordinate Service Commission and who are also appropriately directed to accept the application form of the petitioner and of similarly placed Ex-service man in the light of the development taken place. The writ petition is allowed.
