Petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 448, 354, 307, 326-A/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The specific allegation against the petitioner is that he threw acid on the informant's daughter and, therefore, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail and hence, his prayer for bail in connection with Akbarpur P.S. Case No. 226 of 2015 pending in the court of Additional Sessions Judge-II, Nawada stands rejected.

However, in course of hearing, learned counsel for

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.525 of 2018 (2) dt.17-01-2018 2/2 the petitioner informs that petitioner is suffering from mental ailment and after recommendation of jail doctor, the Jail Superintendent, Nawada has prayed before the court below for sending the petitioner to hospital for his treatment. Learned counsel for the petitioner also submits that a petition before the court below mentioning this fact that petitioner is suffering from mental illness has already been filed but up till now, no order has been passed.
