2. This writ application has been filed for directing the respondent-Authorities for payment of compensation for the land of the petitioner appertaining to Khata No. 45, Khesra No. 624, Area- 26 decimal, situated at Mauza- Mankaul, which has been acquired by the respondent-Authorities for the purposes of widening of Sheikhpura-Sumka Path.

3. In this case, a counter-affidavit has been filed on behalf of the Respondent No. 4. In Paragraph No. 10 therein it is stated that the respondent-Authorities are ready to pay compensation for 2 & 1⁄2 decimal of land of the petitioner

Patna High Court CWJC No.16922 of 2022(4) dt.29-01-2024 2/2 utilized in the process of widening of the said road after following due process of law.

4. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances, the District Magistrate, Sheikhpura (Respondent No. 3) is directed to pay compensation to the petitioner for the land acquired, in accordance with law, as early as possible, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

5. With the aforesaid observations and directions, this writ application is disposed of.
