JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 23-10-2024 The present writ petition has been filed for directing the District Magistrate, Patna, to dispose off the application, filed by the petitioner on 20.9.2023, for grant of arms license under the Heirloom Policy.

Per contra, the learned counsel for the Respondent-State submits that in case, the petitioner has filed an application for grant of arms license and the same is still pending, it shall be disposed off, within a fixed time frame.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case,

Patna High Court CWJC No.15957 of 2024(2) dt.23-10-2024 2/2 I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Patna, to consider the application, filed by the petitioner, for grant of arms license, in case the same has actually been filed and is still pending and pass a reasoned and a speaking order, within a period of six weeks of receipt / production of a copy of this order.

The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
