By the order under contempt, this Court while considering the submissions made on behalf of the parties had extended the liberty to the petitioner that if he has any grievance with regard to wrong fixation of arrears of pension or non payment of certain arrears of pension, he shall make proper representation before the Registrar of the University, who shall dispose of the same by reasoned and speaking order within the stipulated period. This Court had also observed that in case any
Patna High Court MJC No.3225 of 2024(7) dt.16-01-2026 2/3 amount is found admissible against the arrears of pension or any revision of pension is required, the same must be done.
3. Show cause affidavit has been filed on behalf of the opposite party nos. 2 to 4. Mr. Rajesh Prasad Chaudhary, learned Advocate for the University referring to para-6 thereof submitted that the Pay Verification Cell verified the pay scale of the petitioner on the basis of which basic pay of the petitioner was fixed Rs.58600/- with effect from 01.01.2016 and Rs.64100/- was fixed with effect from 01.07.2018 in terms of the 7th Pay Commission. Pension of the petitioner has been fixed accordingly to the tune of Rs.32,050/- with admissible DA. Arrears of difference of pension in 7th Pay scale of Rs.2233/-, which is found payable to the petitioner, an undertaking has been given that the same shall be paid to him shortly.
4. In view of the aforesaid premise, the representation of the petitioner also came to be disposed of by reasoned and speaking order contained in Memo No. Legal/1948/Estas/25 dated 10.12.2025.
5. Considering the averments made in the show cause affidavit filed on behalf of opposite party nos. 2 to 4, in the opinion of this Court, the order has already been complied.

6. The contempt petition stands closed.
7. It is expected that the remaining amount on account of arrears of difference of pension must be paid to the petitioner within four weeks.
