The petitioner is in custody since 06.10.2017 in connection with Gandhi Maidan P.S. Case No. 253 of 2016 registered under Sections 420, 406 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though the petitioner is named in the first information report, there is nothing on record to show that money had in fact been taken by the petitioner. It is further submitted that it is highly improbable that the petitioner, who is a cook in a girl's hostel could induce the girl and her mother to part with the money as has been suggested. It is further suggested that the statement of the co-accused made before the police has no evidenciary value and that the petitioner's name as having received money for giving a job to the informant's

Having learned learned counsel for the petitioner and the counsel for the State and also after consideration of the fact that this Court has granted bail to co-accused, Amit Kumar, in Cr. Misc. No. 7771 of 2018, let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each in connection with Gandhi Maidan P.S. Case No. 253 of 2016 to the satisfaction of Mr. Javed Ahmad Khan, Sub Judge-cumAdditional Chief Judicial Magistrate, VI, Patna, subject to the condition that one of the bailors should be a blood relative.
