The petitioner is languishing in custody in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 25(1-B) a, 26 of the Arms Act.

There is recovery of one country made riffle and 12 live cartridges from the house of the petitioner. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner is innocent and he has falsely been implicated in this case. The riffle was licensed and it was registered in the name of the petitioner but the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.66832 of 2023(2) dt.12-10-2023 2/2 validity of the license was expired on 02.02.2022. The petitioner is bona-fide purchaser of the licensed riffle. The petitioner is languishing in custody since 06.07.2023.

Considering the facts aforesaid and the period under custody, let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousands) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate-XIV, Gopalganj in connection with Vijaipur P.S. Case No. 180 of 2023.
