1. Heard learned counsel for the parties.

2. The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in connection with Sono (Charkapathar) P.S Case no.55 of 2023 registered under sections 302, 304B and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

3. As per the prosecution case, the informant states that the accused persons were torturing his daughter for nonfulfillment of the demand of dowry. The informant received information about his daughter having been strangulated to death.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the case because of his being the father-in-law of the deceased. In course of

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.66576 of 2023(3) dt.13-12-2023 2/2 investigation, it has transpired that the main allegation is against the elder brother of the husband of the deceased namely Gulam Ansari and not the petitioner herein. The petitioner is in custody since 5.3.2023 and charge-sheet has been submitted in the case. He has no criminal antecedent.

5. The prayer for bail is opposed by learned A.P.P for the State.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the petitioner being the father-in-law of the deceased, the main allegation being against the elder brother of the husband of the deceased, the petitioner being in custody since 5.3.2023 and charge-sheet having been submitted in the case, the petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail in connection with Sono (Charkapathar) P.S Case no.55 of 2023 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge-I, Jamui.
