JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 02-03-2023 The short prayer of the petitioner in the present writ petition is to direct the District Magistrate, Samastipur, to dispose off the pending case of the petitioner bearing Compulsory Registration Case No. 01 of 2015.

The learned counsel for the respondentState submits that in case the aforesaid case of the petitioner is still pending, the same shall be disposed off within a fixed time frame.

Accordingly, the present writ petition

Patna High Court CWJC No.17377 of 2022(2) dt.02-03-2023 2/2 stands disposed off with a direction to the District Magistrate, Samastipur, to dispose off the aforesaid case of the petitioner within a period of four weeks from today. It is made clear that even if the petitioner does not appear before the District Magistrate, Samastipur, the District Magistrate, Samastipur, shall be obliged to consider the aforesaid case of the petitioner on its own merits and pass a reasoned and a speaking order, thereon, in accordance with law.
