JUSTICE CHAKRADHARI SHARAN SINGH ORAL ORDER 09-10-2018 The matter relates to imparting education up to Masters Degree in Dental Surgery Course (MDS). The Lalit Narain Mithila University had prepared Regulations for the said purpose. The Dental Council of India has granted recognition in favour of the petitioning Mithila Minority Dental College and Hospital, Laheriasarai, Darbhanga.

From the pleadings on record, it transpires that earlier there were certain objections being raised by the Office of the Chancellor on the question of grant of affiliation in favour of the College and grant of approval of the Ordinance and Regulations

Patna High Court CWJC No.18033 of 2018(6) dt.09-10-2018 2/3 of Master of Dental Surgery Course of the University. It is not in dispute that the said Ordinance and Regulation for MDS course is based on the draft Regulations suggested by the DCI. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Chancellor has produced before this Court letter dated 01.10.2018, issued by the Officer on Special Duty (Judicial) addressed to the Vice Chancellor, informing the University about approval of the Ordinance and Regulations so framed by the University. Earlier letter, dated 14.10.2016, issued by the Governor's Secretariat through Letter No. LNMU-14/20162301/GS(I), has been withdrawn as indicated in the said letter dated 01.10.2018.

With the issuance of the said letter dated 01.10.2018, the Ordinance and Regulations for the said course have been approved by the Office of the Chancellor. Let the letter dated 01.10.2018 be kept on record.

With the issuance of the said letter dated 01.10.2018, the grievance of the petitioner stands redressed. This application stands disposed of.

It is, however, observed that the Court expects that the University and the State Government Department should ensure that the time schedule is maintained to the extent it is possible in

Patna High Court CWJC No.18033 of 2018(6) dt.09-10-2018 3/3 the matter of holding examination etc. as per the DCI guidelines.
