2. The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in connection with Forbesganj P.S. Case No. 422 of 2020 dated 02.06.2020 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 304B read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

3. As per the prosecution case, the petitioner along with the other co-accused persons assaulted the informant's daughter due to the non-fulfillment of demand of dowry. The informant's daughter committed suicide by hanging herself after which on 02.06.2020, when the informant reached his daughter's matrimonial house, he found his daughter dead.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner has falsely been implicated in this case. There is general and omnibus allegation against the petitioner who is the husband of the deceased. The petitioner neither demanded any dowry nor tortured the informant's daughter. The petitioner has no concern with the alleged offence. The petitioner has no criminal antecedent as stated in para 3 of the bail petition. The petitioner is in custody since 01.07.2025.

Learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the bail petition of the petitioner by submitting that the petitioner and the co-accused persons used to harass and assault the informant's daughter for demand of dowry, due to such harassment, the informant's daughter couldn't handle the pressure and she committed suicide by hanging herself. It is further submitted that as per the post-mortem report of the deceased, the cause of death is due to Asphyxia as a result of hanging.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case as well as the heinous nature of offence against the petitioner, this court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner and the same is rejected in connection with Forbesganj P.S. Case No. 422 of 2020, pending in the Court of learned Chief Judicial

7. The application stands rejected and the learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial of the petitioner and conclude the same at the earliest.
