Petitioner submits that though the application for grant of arms licence was filed by him in the year 2006 itself but no final decision has been taken by the licensing authority till date. A counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of the respondent nos. 2 and 3 stating that a report was called for from the Senior Superintendent of Police, Patna which has been received on 25.08.2015 as contained in Annexure B, however, due to the ensuing election nothing could be done. Accordingly, this writ application is disposed of with a direction to the District Magistrate-cum-Licensing Authority, Patna to take a final decision in the matter on its own merit and in
