The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Muffasil P.S. Case No. 381 of 2016, registered under Sections 341, 387 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code.

The allegation of informant, namely, Rupranjan Tiwari is that on 05.10.2016, in the morning, ransom of Rs. 2 Lakhs was demanded from him through mobile No. 8769313599. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that petitioner is not named in the F.I.R. In course of investigation, it has only come that the mobile, which was used for demand of ransom was found in possession of the petitioner, while the same was belonging to one Satyendra Kumar Sah. Learned counsel for the State vehemently opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner.
