2. Robin Kewat, Son of Arjun Kewat, Resident of Village-Khairabad, P.S. Bihar, District-Nalanda .... Petitioners
Versus
1. The State of Bihar .... Opposite Party ====================================================== Appearance :
For the Petitioners : Mr. Anil Kumar, Adv. For the Opposite Party : Mr. S. Ehteshamuddin, APP 56 ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE BIRENDRA KUMAR ORAL ORDER 14-07-2017 Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the State.
This is a petition for grant of anticipatory bail for offence under Sections 147, 148, 149, 323, 341, 504, 506, 387 and 379 of the Indian Penal Code.
The allegation against the petitioners is that they demanded ransom from the informant by putting under threat of death. Further, allegation is of snatching the money etc. from the informant and others.
Submission of the learned counsel for the petitioners is that due to land dispute, false allegation has been leveled and one of the co-accused has been allowed regular bail in this case. No material to substantiate land dispute has been produced and the petitioners have got criminal antecedent vide paragraph 3 of the bail petition.
Hence, in my view this is not a fit case for grant of anticipatory bail.
The prayer for anticipatory bail is refused.
